FinCap is part of a joint submission requesting the Government protect vulnerable consumers by providing funding for a financial legal rights service pilot.

The submission says such a service would predominantly provide legal advice to financial mentors, Community Law Centres and other advocates working with consumers.

The submission was coordinated by Community Law Centres Aotearoa, and signed by FinCap, the Salvation Army, Christians Against Poverty, DebtFix, and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
