Last week the leader of the opposition, Hon Christopher Luxon, joined the Pakuranga and Howick Budgeting Service for ‘A Day in the Life’ visit.
Mr Luxon was able to observe the incredible skill and value of financial mentors on the ground, and the crucial support they provide our communities.
These ‘A Day in the Life’ visits mean that those who make decisions get real insight into the everyday barriers that whānau can face.
It was an insightful session with robust conversation about the barriers that are currently most pressing. Thank you to all those involved, and in particular to the financial mentors all over Aotearoa that are walking alongside whānau as they navigate a pathway away from hardship.
